Jeff Wiest, Sr. Consultant, Lavante
Jeff Wiest has been an accounts payable professional for over 15 years. He was instrumental in the formation of a centralized payables organization as part of the U.S. Financial Shared Services Center for Tyco Electronics in Harrisburg, PA. In that role he was responsible for the post-acquisition integration of more than 20 payables operations into the service center. Automation initiatives under his management have included electronic invoicing utilizing multiple technologies (P.O. flip, flat file upload, third-party template mapping, EDI), web-based invoice inquiry, automated travel & entertainment services and a procurement card program. His work included contracting with industry service providers for vendor statement reconciliation, recovery audit, electronic invoicing and TIN matching among others. He previously managed the accounts payable function for AMP Incorporated; also in the electronics industry. He has been active in several accounts payable professional organizations and has presented to payables professionals in the U.S and United Kingdom on topics including payables centralization, automation alternatives and internal controls. Jeff has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Susquehanna University and resides in Pennsylvania with his wife and four children.
